#1573 - Chicken and Celery Casserole

1 cup raw Minute rice
1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix (dry)
1 - 10.75oz. can Campbell's cream of mushroom soup
1 - 10.75oz. can Campbell's cream of celery soup
1 can of water (use empty soup can to measure)
2 to 3 cups bite sized cooked chicken pieces
pepper

Grease a 9 x 13 glass baking dish. Spread the uncooked rice all over the bottom of the greased baking dish. Spread the cooked chicken pieces evenly over the rice. In a bowl add onion soup mix, undiluted mushroom soup, undiluted cream of celery soup and the can of water--stir until mixed. Pour the soup mixture carefully over the chicken. Sprinkle pepper over the whole top (to your taste). Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes or until rice is done.

#1337 - Cream of Celery Soup

10 cups water
3 cups finely chopped celery
1 TBSP butter
1 TBSP flour
1 cup milk
salt and pepper to your taste
celery salt to your taste
1 cup milk (hot but not boiling)

In a saucepan add water and chopped celery--bring to a boil, then cook until celery is very tender--drain. In a separate saucepan add butter--melt. Add flour--stir. Slowly add 1 cup milk--cook and stir until thick. Spoon the celery into a sieve over a bowl--push celery through the sieve using a spoon--discard anything caught in the sieve. Pour the bowl of celery into the saucepan with the milk mixture--stir. Add salt, pepper and celery salt to your taste--stir. Keep the heat on simmer, and simmer the celery soup for 10 minutes. Add the cup of hot milk to the celery soup--stir and cook until hot.

#1071 - Chicken and Macaroni Casserole

2 cups dry macaroni
2 cups milk
1 - 10.75oz. can Campbell's cream of celery soup
1 - 10.75oz. can Campbell's cream of chicken soup
2 cups cooked chicken (cut into bite sized pieces)
1 chopped onion
1/2 lb. cubed sharp cheese

In a bowl add cream of chicken soup and cream of celery soup--stir. Add milk--stir. Add chopped onion and dry macaroni--stir. Add chicken pieces--stir. Add cubed cheese--stir. Pour mixture into a glass 9 x 13 baking dish (greased). Cover it with foil and refrigerate overnight. The next day, let it sit (covered) on the counter for 1 hour. UNcover the dish and bake it at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until hot.

#805 - Cream of Celery Casserole

1lb. ground chuck
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 chopped onion
1 pint frozen peas (thawed and drained)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 lb. any kind of pasta noodles (cooked according to box directions, then drained)
1 - 10.75oz. can Campbell's cream of celery soup
1 1/2 cups milk
2 1/2 slices bread (broken into bite sized pieces)

In a skillet, add ground chuck, salt, pepper and chopped onion--brown, drain and set aside. Cook the pasta according to box directions. In a bowl add soup and milk--stir. In a large bowl add cooked/drained noodles and ground chuck mixture--mix well. Pour soup/milk mixture into ground chuck/noodles--stir. Add thawed/drained peas--stir. Grease a 2qt. casserole dish. Pour entire mixture into the greased casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes--remove from oven, sprinkle shredded cheese and breadcrumbs on top and return to oven for 15 more minutes or until breadcrumbs are golden brown and crispy.

#792 - Turkey Bake

1 stick butter
1 1/4 cups water
3 1/2 cups seasoned stuffing crumbs
1 - 2.8oz. can french fried onions (French's or Durkee's)
1 - 10.75oz. Campbell's condensed cream of celery soup
3/4 cup milk
1 1/2 cups cooked turkey (cut into bite sized pieces--leftovers can be used)
1 - 10oz. frozen peas (thawed and drained)

In a saucepan add water--bring to a boil. Remove saucepan from heat, add butter and stir until it melts. In a bowl add stuffing crumbs--pour butter/water mixture over the crumbs--stir and add 1/2 of the can of french fried onions--stir. Grease a casserole dish--spoon the stuffing mixture into the greased casserole--make sure you cover the bottom and the sides. In a separate bowl add the soup and milk--stir. Add turkey and peas to the soup--stir. Pour the turkey/soup mixture into the stuffing shell that you created in the casserole dish. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove from oven, sprinkle the rest of the french fried onions over the top, return to oven and bake uncovered for 5-10 more minutes.
